S. Schild, M.D. is a
graduate of Duke University and the
Ohio State University College of
Medicine, Columbus, Ohio. He served his internship at Riverside
Methodist Hospital, Columbus, and his residency in ophthalmology
at Northwestern University Department of Ophthalmology, Chicago,
Illinois. Dr. Schild has been in the practice of medical and surgical
ophthalmology in Sandusky since 1994 when he joined S. Baird Pfahl,
M.D. Dr. Pfahl had been in practice for over 35 years when he retired
in 2003. A native of Dayton, Ohio, Dr. Schild resides in Perkins
Township with his wife Heidi and their two children.
Dr. Schild has special interest in cataract consultation and surgery, pediatric ophthalmology, and diagnosis and treatment of dry eye.

Jenneth
Collins, O.D. is a graduate of Bowling
Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, with a Bachelor
of Science in biology, and the Ohio State University College
of Optometry. She completed her residency training at the Columbus
/ Chillicothe VA Medical Center. Dr. Collins joined our practice
in 2002. A native of Bellevue, Ohio, she resides in Vermillion
with her husband Joe.
Thomas L. Steinemann, M.D. is a corneal specialist
who provides patient consultations for corneal disease
and surgery. He visits our Sandusky office one time per month.
He is the director of the Cornea Service, and Eye Clinic, at
Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland. He also works for
Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine as an Associate
Professor of Ophthalmology. He is a graduate of The Medical
College of Ohio, Toledo, Ohio, completing his internship at
Mercy Hospital, Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Steinemann’s residency
was at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington,
Kentucky, and his corneal fellowship was completed at Louisiana
State University.
